Thank you for joining us. Today, our prayer leader is @Onassignment: In America, it is very difficult to relate to a nation that stifles the will of its peoples. Stifles the will of its peoples to be free to determine their own destiny. With as many troubles that we experience in America, we still are free to voice our opinion. We are free to protest inequities. We are free to vote to change leadership when it seems necessary and to worship as our conscience dictates. The peoples of Iran are asking to be allowed to determine for themselves how their life will be spent. Not in struggles, not in fear of offending the radical clergy, who seem to control everything. Not even to change from Islam. They just want to be free to choose. I speak these things from a limited understanding. Seen from the small window through which we are can view the struggles of the Iranian people to be free. I am not speaking from some hyper-educated sense of what is really happening. I only speak from a heart that knows we were created to choose. The Creator of us all did not make us to be robots. He created, in us, the ability to think for ourselves; make good or bad decisions, for ourselves. At the end of the day, if we have been wise, we would choose to serve Him who gave us life in the beginning. He did not create us to be abused, for our every thought to be dictated. He did not create us so our every move be scrutinized, but to live in peace and in love for He is love. The Iranian peoples deserve to be part of the world market place. They have so much to offer to the world and in turn, the world community has much to offer them. All peoples of all nations long for freedom to interact with one another and share the benefits of freedom. With that freedom, comes great responsibility. We all find our way there, over time, as we grow and learn together. It is the 'evil' element in our world that generates all the hatred and cruelty. Hatred and cruelty that the peoples of Iran endure and well as many other nations. Peoples from all nations must stand in unity with those nations who want to be free. They must stand in unity with those nations that have voiced that desire through their votes. When a government does whatever it desires, in spite of the wishes of the people, it is destined for failure. As a follower of Christ, I believe we can take a stand. A stand against the evil forces that continue to shut down the Iranian society that is crying out for freedom. We can agree together in prayer, that the controlling forces of hatred and cruelty be bound and removed. Then good will come to the land of our forefathers. So today, I pray in my own way, because I have the freedom to choose how to pray. My wish is for the peoples of Iran to know we love them. I pray those who have been imprisoned will be set free. I pray that the government in control will have a change of heart or be replaced. Give them a government who represent the wishes of the people and not what has been forced upon them. This is my prayer for Iran: Father of all peoples, we are coming to You today on behalf of the peoples of Iran. We do not have to tell You. We dont have to inform You as if You do not know. You know the suffering that the peoples of Iran are struggling with every day under the current leadership. They have a desire to be free to chose their own destiny; To participate in the world community freely without persecution. You are their only hope for relief. Many innocent people are suffering and we know Your heart is touched by the sorrow of Your creation. Move upon the government of Iran to let this people be free and live in democracy if that is their choice. Let their voice be heard and the desires of their hearts be granted. Move on the leadership of Iran to show mercy, and if necessary, change the persons in control. You, who raises up whom You will and bring down whom You will, give the people of Iran hope, Give the people of Iran courage, boldness and protection. Let their faces be set like a flint, looking neither to the right or to the left- Keeping the goal of freedom ever before them. They desire a future of peace and fellowship with the world community. They desire a future for their children to live in peace and prosperity. Many have now given their life for this hope of freedom. Their blood cries out for justice as the innocent blood of Abel cried out to You. And because You are the God of justice as well as the God of love, we know You will answer that cry. For we know You have said and we now ask for You 'to restore the fortunes of Elam in the days to come' Let the people of Iran be free.
