Thank you for joining us. Today, our prayer leader is @greenthumbnails: Quite often lately, I've been thinking about these Friday Prayers. Have we lost momentum? Have we worn out our welcome? Are we still relevant? As time goes by, many of us have become frustrated, distracted, or just busy with our lives. A lot of us expected this to be over a long time ago. It is sometimes easy to forget that this road is very long and dangerous. Tonight, I came to Disneyland to write these prayers of freedom. The "Happiest Place on Earth" - A land filled with thousands of people blissfully enjoying their own freedoms. Spending time with their loved ones- smiling, laughing, and playing... Celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, holidays- Celebrating life. Some people planned for years to come here today. They saved money, taken time off from work and school, travelled near and far... to be here. People woke up excited today. For them, today is the BIG DAY! Not me. I woke up today and went to work. I had no plans to come here afterward, but I have an annual pass and I come here a lot. There is something about this place that reminds me to count my blessings. I felt pulled here tonight. Like it was meant to happen. Now, as the words have started to flow a little easier, I think I see why. We need to appreciate our freedoms. I need to remember that many have sacrificed everything so I could be here today. We need to remember that many are sacrificing everything right now, while we are here, reading this. We need to celebrate freedom every day. We need to invite our friends and family, our co-workers, the whole world. By taking stock of what we have- and why we have it, we give these things the respect we truly deserve. Today, I pray not only for Iran- But for the whole world.
